Previously unheard all-star sessions from the former lead vocalist of Colonel Bagshot!"
The story of this album begins in the aftermath of Colonel Bagshot’s breakup in 1973, when songwriter Brian Farrell found himself searching for a new musical direction. In 1974 he entered the studio with producer John Megason and an extraordinary circle of session musicians, including members and alumni of the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band, Liverpool Scene, Patto, and the Big Roll Band, alongside highly sought-after players such as B.J. Cole and drummer Gerry Conway. Although the recordings were completed, industry politics prevented the album’s release at the time.
Farrell continued recording through the mid-1970s, working with legendary guitarist Big Jim Sullivan and musicians who would later become known worldwide as Chas and Dave, as well as sessions in Liverpool with future television composer Steve Wright. These tracks, long unheard, document a pivotal creative period marked by stylistic range, rich collaborations, and personal reinvention. Collected at last, the album stands as a lost chapter finally restored.
